The Minority Prospects Final College Showdown brings together the top talent from the SIAC (Division II) and HBCUAC (NAIA) conferences for a historic HBCU baseball matchup in Montgomery. This premier event highlights the best players from both conferences competing for conference pride, exposure, and bragging rights — all in front of fans, scouts, and the community.
This showcase is more than just a game. Fans can enjoy vendors, music, community activations, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the day. The event also serves as Opening Night for the Fine & Dandy Affair, in partnership with Essence Festival and the City of Montgomery, creating a full cultural experience that blends baseball, HBCU pride, and community celebration.

Minority Baseball Prospects Futures Showcase The Minority Baseball Prospects (MBP) Futures Showcase is coming to Maynard Jackson High School on Saturday, August 1, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM. Designed for the nation’s top 2028–2032 graduates, this showcase provides young athletes the opportunity to compete, be evaluated, and earn an invitation to the MBP Futures All-American Games in September. Players will receive a comprehensive evaluation that includes: * Defensive Evaluation * Offensive Evaluation * 60-Yard Dash Times * Baseball Metrics & Measurables * Performance Evaluation by the MBP Staff Outstanding performers will be selected to participate in the prestigious MBP Futures All-American Games, featuring many of the top young prospects from across the country.
